Dorothy Jean Strauss is a retired school teacher who presently resides in Wellfleet, Ma. After painting all her life, Dorothy has developed many styles and works in various media, acrylic on plexiglas being her most current inspiration, because the glassy texture allows her a fluidity as light as the light which inspires her images. A clear gloss lacquer is applied to both enhance and preserve the painting.
